The San Francisco Decorator Showcase is an annual fundraiser benefiting the University High School financial aid program. Tickets to tour this beautiful Victorian home, located at 2315 Broadway in Pacific Heights, are on sale now - here.
Chambre No. 17 evokes the romance of the Victorian era through its moody chinoiserie inspired wallcovering, layered textures, and reverence for craftsmanship. Designed with universal versatility in mind, the thoughtful layout and timeless palette allow the space to function across generations as a refined sanctuary.
Classic architectural elements ground the room in tradition, while sculptural lighting and furnishings offer a modern restraint that keeps the room feeling fresh. The softly curved blush headboard and sumptuous alpaca drapery woven with feather-like plumes lend a subtle, flirty charm while paying homage to the theme "Birds of a Feather" - a poetic expression of community. In uncertain times, community becomes our greatest strength - a steady reminder that when we support one another, and move forward together, we are far more resilient than we could ever be alone.

The tile installation in this modern Victorian bath is a quiet study in precision, craftsmanship, and material integrity. Custom handmade tiles by McIntyre Tiles bring a richness and subtle variation that only artisanal production can achieve—each piece carrying slight tonal shifts and texture that lend depth and authenticity to the space.
Set against this nuanced materiality is a flawlessly executed installation, where alignment, spacing, and transitions are handled with care. The geometry of the floor feels both tailored and timeless, grounding the room while allowing the surrounding details to shine. Every joint is intentional, every edge resolved, creating a seamless dialogue between old-world craft and modern precision.
The result is a tile composition that elevates the entire bathroom—refined yet expressive, and a testament to the level of artistry showcased at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase.
This moment captures the precision and coordination behind a truly elevated installation. The Dolce Vita marble from Da Vinci Marble is being thoughtfully set, its natural veining carefully aligned to create a continuous, sculptural statement within the shower.
Executed by Aguilar Tile Installation, the craftsmanship is evident in every detail—from the clean substrate preparation to the meticulous layout manipulating the stone's veining to create a sense of movement. The result is more than a stone installation; it’s a composed, architectural surface that speaks to expert coordination, technical precision, and a deep respect for the material.
The specialty plaster finish being applied in this space by AAC Design is a transformative layer—one that elevates the room beyond paint into something far more tactile and atmospheric. The fireplace, finished in Tadelakt by Color Atelier, introduces a soft, velvety sheen with subtle movement and depth that shifts beautifully with the light.
Executed with exceptional care, this artisanal application softens the architecture while adding a sense of permanence and refinement. The result is a finish that feels both timeless and bespoke—imbuing the room with warmth, quiet luxury, and a richness that simply cannot be achieved with standard paint.
